“The conversation is the authority.”

We like open space. Forget the walled-gardens of social networks, portals, and "subscribers only" media. The truly fresh voices and perspectives are happening on the free, collaborative, decentralized world of the open web, just as its fundamental design provided.

As old media sources consolidate and crumble (see: radio, television, newspapers), quality independent sources of information proliferate online. The problem? These new sources are difficult to discover, navigate, and recommend to others.

At kollective intelligence, we're fascinated by the niches, currents, and conversations in this rapidly growing and increasingly open landscape. We want to help people navigate these networks and discover those conversations with the most authority. We create software that analyzes structured databases of all kinds found on the open web, providing intelligent access to the information kollective.
